Katharina SCHENDL

Katharina Schendl lives and works in Vienna and Prishtina. She studied architecture in Vienna, Los Angeles, Barcelona and curating in Zurich. She has worked with architects Vincent Guallart, Sadar Vuga and has collaborated with artists on international exhibitions and projects.Institutional experience she gained at mumok over the last 5 years, working in production and exhibition management for Gender Check and Claes Oldenburg. Parallel to that she has launched her independent projects, as Balkongalerie, a semi-public space focusing on emerging artists in Ljubljana 2005. From there she developed her practice to the recent international artist collaboration experiment MAKE.A.MATCH. In 2014 she established the web platform Footnotes on Art and founded LambdaLambdaLambda together with Isabella Ritter in Pristina. For the 56th Venice Biennale she is the co-curator of the Pavilion of Kosovo representing Flaka Haliti. She is a contributor to Harper’s Baazar Latin American Art, Solar and KubaParis.
