ADAM BUDAK

Adam Budak has been the Chief Curator at the National Gallery in Prague, Czech Republic since 2014. He was previously a curator for contemporary art at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington D.C., at Kunsthaus of the Universalmuseum Joanneum, Graz, Austria, and the Municipal Gallery of Contemporary Art Bunkier Sztuki, Cracow, Poland. Budak has curated numerous exhibitions, including Manifesta 7 (Trentino Alto Adige), Venice Biennale (the Polish Pavilion of the Architecture Biennale and the Estonian Pavilion at Art Biennale), two editions of the Prague Biennale, Gherdëina Biennale, and Trienala Ladina, and he has worked with many distinguished artists, including Louise Bourgeois, John Baldessari, Sharon Lockhart, Monika Sosnowska, Ai Weiwei and Brian Eno. He has contributed to many publications and edited two volumes of “What is Architecture?”.
